On the way to Vegas we stopped at Calico Ghost Town where is was very hot!
out. The town is a mixture of original and restored buildings. It was founded in 1881
and population peaked at about 1200 (with 22 saloons) in 1887. The Silver mine which we toured
is what the town centered around. Their web page is at:
